Indian Black Tea

Newquay Brew

Wet and warm, a perfect morning cuppa on your holidays or a lazy weekend at home.
These broken, rolled leaves provide a red infusion with a rich, smooth flavour reminiscent of caramel. Goes great with a drop of milk.

Origin: India -  Cherideo Purbat Tea Estate.
Grade: Broken Orange Pekoe (BOP)
Ingredients: Black tea
Antioxidant Level: High
Caffeine Content: Medium

About: The tranquil charm of the soft rolling hills of the Arakan Yoma range on the eastern horizon adds to the beauty of Cherideo Purbat Tea Estate. Situated in the heart of the ancient capital city of Ahom Dynasty the garden is nourished by streams that quietly meander through the expanse, enriching the soil and the tea bushes that produce the strong, full bodied teas. When the estate was taken-over in 2015 by the Darjeeling Organic Estates Pvt. Ltd. company, they pledged to conserve the water bodies and the environment to enhance the micro climate of the region. In keeping with their organic and bio dynamic system of farming, the garden produces environmentally conscious teas.

Brewing: Always use freshly boiled water. The taste will vary depending on the amount of tea used and how long it is steeped. Longer = stronger. If left too long the tea may also turn bitter.

Favourite Tea :)

The Newquay Brew is my favourite ever cup of tea! It's comforting & warming, but with a lovely freshness. Every time I drink a cup, it reminds me of Cornwall. I never leave without buying a bag to keep me going until the next time I'm there :)
