The Best Teas for Crisp Autumn Days

There’s something about autumn that makes a good cup of tea feel even more inviting.

Crisp mornings, cooler afternoons, golden leaves and darker evenings all seem to call for something warm in your favourite mug. As the seasons change, it’s the perfect time to slow down, put the kettle on and discover something new from Tea & Leaves.

Warming cups for cooler days

Autumn is a wonderful season for exploring teas with deeper, warming flavours.

Our Tanzania Luponde BP1 is a lovely choice when you’re craving a proper cup of black tea. Full-bodied and rich, it’s particularly satisfying on a chilly morning or alongside a slice of something homemade.

For something a little different, Formosa Oolong offers a beautifully complex cup that’s perfect for taking your time over. Oolong has its own unique character, and we’ll be exploring this fascinating style of tea in more detail in a future blog.

And coming soon there’s Bonfire Berries, a blend of berry fruits and hibiscus with the distinctive smoky character of Lapsang Souchong. Fruity, warming and just a little smoky, it feels wonderfully at home on an autumn evening, when the nights draw in and you’re dreaming of sitting beside a crackling bonfire.

A little taste of autumn

Of course, autumn wouldn’t be complete without our seasonal Autumn Apple Spice making its return.

With fruity apple notes and warming spice, it’s the sort of tea that feels right when the leaves are turning and you’re ready to settle somewhere cosy.

Each of these teas brings something different to the season, from the rich depth of black tea to the gentle complexity of oolong, smoky berry notes and warming seasonal spice.

Make time for tea this autumn

As summer fades and the days become a little slower, there’s something lovely about creating small rituals around your tea.

Put the kettle on. Choose your favourite cup. Let the tea brew properly. Take a moment before rushing on to the next thing.

Whether you’re reaching for a robust black tea, discovering oolong, enjoying a smoky berry blend or settling down with a seasonal favourite, autumn is a wonderful excuse to make a little more time for tea.

Here’s to crisp mornings, cosy afternoons, smoky bonfire evenings and plenty of good cups of tea.
